Have you ever dreamed of learning how to make your own guitar, oud or Puerto Rican cuatro?

Enroll now in our personalized one-on-one instrument making course with Heritage Luthier School. This package offers a unique experience to apprentice under a Luthier with decades of experience during a two-week, in-person workshop located in Lexington, North Carolina. Lodging can be provided for additional cost during your stay.

Students are expected to arrive on Monday morning and will work with their master for 7+ hours each day with sessions concluding on the second Saturday.

During this time you will learn about every aspect of the instrument making process from selecting woods, to bending wood, crafting the neck, selecting adhesives, gluing parts together, inserting the frets, sanding, polishing, fixing problems that might arise along the way, adding the tuning heads, assembling the body, and ultimately stringing up the instrument and playing.

You will have the option to purchase the instrument you help build later if desired.

Instruments Built: Guitar, Oud, Puerto Rican Cuatro

Course Tuition: $5200 (without accommodation)
